Nothing says summer more than old woody station wagons, wooden surfboards, or an old wood canoe. But wooden sunglasses? Apparently they are a fashion trend that might be growing in popularity.
Proof Eyewear is one manufacturer that makes their glasses from sustainable wood, skateboard decks, cotton based acetate, and recycled aluminum. The brothers who own Proof Eyewear unsuccessfully pitched them to Shark Tank in 2013, but they have continued to grow the company.
Woodies is another manufacturer with lots of styles and there are wood sunglasses on etsy. So I guess they are a thing now. What do you think?
